What are the minimum PC requirements?

The following requirements come from the official Steam listing, checked October 13, 2026. They describe the Windows PC edition, not the PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch 2 editions.

ComponentSteam minimum specification
Operating systemWindows 10 or later, 64-bit, latest update
ProcessorIntel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600
Memory8 GB RAM
GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 580, or Intel Arc A380
DirectXVersion 12
Storage14 GB available space

Steam also explicitly requires a 64-bit processor and operating system. The minimum specification is not a promise of a particular frame rate, resolution, graphics preset, or loading time; this wiki has not run hardware benchmarks.

Is there a native Mac or Linux version on Steam?

Steam’s platform metadata currently lists Windows support and does not list a native macOS or Linux build. This is not a claim that a compatibility layer works or fails: neither Proton, CrossOver, nor any other workaround has been tested for this guide. Do not assume compatibility solely because a computer exceeds the memory or storage requirement.

Does Order of the Sinking Star support controllers?

Steam lists full controller support and DualShock and DualSense support categories. These store features do not specify the behavior of every controller model, wired connection, or wireless setup. Exact button prompts and controls remain outside this source-based requirements page.

How should you check your PC before purchasing?

  1. Confirm that your operating system and processor are 64-bit and that your Windows version matches the listing.
  2. Compare your exact CPU and GPU model with the minimum specification; similar-looking model names are not proof of equivalent performance.
  3. Check installed RAM and free disk space. Leave room for operating-system needs and potential updates beyond the stated installation requirement.
  4. Review the latest store requirements before buying. If the GPU wording is unclear, seek clarification rather than choosing hardware from an unverified model label.

These are general comparison steps, not a tested performance recommendation.

Last source check: October 13, 2026. No hardware benchmark or hands-on controller test is claimed.
